EMDR is an evidence based modality that uses bilateral stimulation to activate the brain to release and reorganize memories that hold upsetting events that show up today as reactions. Advances in brain science has led the research in the use of psychedelics to treat unintegrated memories in the US. Other countries have used psychedelics with spiritual healing practices for decades. Internal Family Systems is a well researched modality that acknowledges our brain’s function is to keep us safe and that experiences create sides or parts of us. We have parts of us that are reactive and not responsive.
